    Talya is a clinical psychologist licensed in New York and Connecticut. She works with adults, adolescents, children and families struggling with a variety of emotional, behavioral and relational challenges. Talya utilizes an integrated therapeutic approach to treat the specific needs of the individuals she works with - incorporating psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, family systems, and mindfulness interventions. Talya helps clients improve and repair relationships, process painful experiences, alleviate stress and anxiety, identify and challenge maladaptive thoughts and behaviors and ultimately find the inner strength to live their best lives.

    DELIBERATE PRACTICE COACHING FOR CLINICIANS

    Tracy is licensed in NY, NJ, and CT. She works with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Tracy’s therapeutic approach is warm and open. She generally practices psychodynamic psychotherapy but also integrates other therapeutic modalities. Her approach is flexible and tailored to suit the needs of each client. Tracy’s work is informed by her clinical experience and the latest in evidence based research. In addition to her private practice work, Tracy offers individual and group trainings in Regulation Focused Psychotherapy for Children (RFP-C), an evidence based psychodynamic intervention for school-aged children with disruptive behavior problems. She also provides deliberate practice coaching for clinicians across a wide range of disciplines. Tracy is the author of several books and dozens of peer-reviewed papers.

Tatianna Kufferath-Lin, PsyD

    TESTING & ASSESSMENT

    Tatianna is the Director of Testing & Assessment at IMPACT. She works with children, adolescents, and young adults and has a special interest in parent work. Her clinical work is shaped by her understanding of the centrality of attachment and her experience providing trauma-informed care. Tatianna also conducts a wide range of psychoeducational and personality assessments to provide clients with more information about their current difficulties. She is the co-author of a counseling skills textbook, several peer reviewed publications, and the lead author on a chapter covering the many forms of psychodynamic psychotherapy with children and adolescents. She earned her doctorate at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and completed her predoctoral internship at New Alternatives for Children.

    Sophia is the director of our Integrative DBT-A Program. She works with clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Sophia strives to bring a warm and collaborative approach to her work with clients. Sophia integrates evidence-based interventions with psychodynamic psychotherapy, taking into account the unique needs of each of her clients. Sophia also has specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT-A) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy. Sophia has worked across outpatient hospital settings, inpatient hospitals, community based clinics, and therapeutic schools. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is integral to creating meaningful change in therapy. Additionally, Sophia conducts comprehensive psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic evaluations for children, teens and adults. Sophia earned her doctorate at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, and completed her internship and post-doctoral training at Mount Sinai Hospital.

    Shay specializes in interventions and assessment for preschool and elementary school aged children. Additionally, Shay works with emerging adults on identity development, navigating challenges in work and love, and building a stronger sense of self. Shay also enjoys working with adolescents and parents. She tailors treatment to the needs and resources of each client and family. In her work, Shay integrates evidence based interventions into a comprehensive attachment perspective, with attention paid to cultural and systemic factors that influence life experiences and the therapeutic relationship. Licensed in NY and FL.

    Erin provides short and long-term psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults. Erin approaches therapy with sincerity and hope. Her therapeutic style is warm, non-judgmental, empowering, and collaborative.

    Erin specializes in issues related to anxiety, trauma, interpersonal/family conflict, chronic medical illness, and caregiver distress, as well as chronic shame, self-criticism, obsessive thinking, and perfectionism. Additionally, as a former competitive dancer, Erin enjoys working with dancers/artists. Erin also works extensively with individuals of all genders affected by disordered eating and eating disorders, with particular expertise in supporting family caregivers of loved ones with an eating disorder.

    As an integrative psychologist, Erin aims to balance insight-oriented therapeutic approaches with practical strategies. Specifically, Erin draws from humanistic, psychodynamic, and attachment theories to thoughtfully support clients in gaining insight into the “origin story” of both their distress and resilience, while incorporating dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive-behavioral based interventions to empower client’s to adaptively manage acute symptoms and/or stressors. Essential to Erin’s clinical practice is collaboratively understanding how a client’s unique story is shaped by their broader familial and sociocultural systems.

    Erin earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University. She enjoys serving as an adjunct professor at Fordham’s graduate programs.

    Khadija works with clients across the lifespan ranging from preschool aged children to adults.

    She creates a warm, non-judgmental space for clients. She tailors strength-based, client centered modalities to best meet an individual’s needs. She was trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), which focuses on strengthening the attachment between parents and children.

    Khadija also explores how the intersectionality of a client’s race, gender, culture and class impact their present reality. These approaches can help clients develop inner peace, stronger self-esteem and more fulfilling interpersonal relationships.

    Khadija earned her Master’s in Social Work from New York University and her MA in Child Development from Sarah Lawrence College. She is licensed in New York and Connecticut.

  • Mikayla is a postdoctoral fellow at IMPACT who enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She collaborates with clients to increase their self-awareness and self-compassion and effectively navigate their own journeys, drawing from past experiences to inform future pathways to fulfillment. Mikayla strives to create a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, connection, and empathy. She has specialized training in numerous trauma-informed modalities and utilizes a strength-based approach in her work. Consistent with her passion for empowering individuals, Mikayla has created a child-focused activity book and adolescent group therapy curriculum to help individuals recover from and find meaning following traumatic experiences. She earned her doctorate from the Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology at the University of Hartford and completed her internship at the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut.

  • Roseanne is a postdoctoral fellow at IMPACT. Throughout her training she has worked with diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Roseanne’s practice is rooted in empowering and fostering resilience in her clients, helping them navigate life’s challenges and achieve their goals. Her clinical work is informed by relational and attachment-based theories, and she maintains an integrative approach tailoring to the needs of her clients. Roseanne has extensive training in personality and neuropsychological assessment through inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings. She earned her doctorate degree from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University and completed her predoctoral internship at the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut.

    Ella is a postdoctoral fellow at IMPACT. She works with children, adolescents, and adults and approaches her work with a focus on fostering therapeutic alliance grounded in trust and mutual respect. As an integrative therapist who primarily practices with a relational therapy approach, Ella believes in a creative, collaborative therapy process that empowers individuals in their healing and growth. She draws from various modalities, including attachment-based work and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to tailor a therapeutic experience that best meets your needs. Ella will work with you to navigate obstacles, manage uncertainty, strengthen relationships, and deepen self-awareness by exploring how the past has helped shape your present, and by providing you with tools to help you achieve your future goals. 

    A graduate of the School-Child Clinical Combined Doctoral Program at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Ella completed her doctoral internship at Jacobi Medical Center where her training was focused on helping individuals manage new or chronic medical diagnoses. Ella is uniquely prepared to help navigate the complex interplay of medical and social-emotional stressors for those experiencing a new medical diagnosis or chronic illness, or for those supporting their loved-ones.

    Ella also specializes in executive functioning coaching. She works with children, adolescents, and adults who need support with skills such as planning, focus, and self-regulation. With a warm and motivating approach, Ella helps clients refine these skills to better align with their needs and lifestyle, guiding them toward achieving their goals.

Hannah Fordin, LMSW

    Hannah specializes in working collaboratively with children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges both past and present. Her approach to therapy is person-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in a strong therapeutic alliance. We each have a toolbox that we can pull from when things get tough. Hannah will help you gather the tools you need so that you’re better equipped to navigate challenges and changes throughout your life. She does this by helping you identify strengths, cultivate self-compassion, and develop effective coping skills.

    Hannah has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. She is passionate about supporting adolescents as they transition from childhood to adulthood. Hannah offers empowering and compassionate support during this exciting and challenging time of life, navigating a changing sense of self as well as social and familial conflict that arise along the way.

Hana Yoshimura

INTAKE COORDINATOR

  • Hana is the Intake Coordinator at IMPACT. Hana is a certified healthcare virtual assistant with an undergraduate degree in psychology. She completed her internship in counseling doing testing and assessment, conducting interviews, and providing guided counseling to clients. She has provided psychological first aid to survivors of volcanic eruptions, flooding and forest fires. In addition to working at IMPACT, Hana is also an on-call volunteer for a mental health and psychosocial support organization in the Philippines that provides psychosocial help and counseling to vulnerable groups.
