Why Choose IMPACT?
Our practice is called IMPACT - Integrative Mindful Psychotherapy and Comprehensive Testing - because it defines what we do.
We provide psychotherapy that seamlessly integrates multiple treatment approaches and offer comprehensive testing and assessment for children, adolescents, and adults. Our specialized testing includes neuropsychological assessment, complex psychodiagnostic evaluations, autism spectrum disorder assessments and comprehensive evaluations for educational and occupational accommodations.
Who We Help
At IMPACT Psychological Services, we are dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages and backgrounds, addressing a wide range of mental health needs with personalized care and expertise.
-
We support adults struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, identity development, grief/loss, body image, self-confidence, life transitions, and trauma.
-
Our services for teens include individual therapy, group therapy, our integrative DBT-A program , and family therapy to help young people and their families navigate the challenges of adolescence.
-
We offer support for couples experiencing relationship difficulties, communication issues, trust problems, and life transitions. Our services include EFT, premarital counseling, and relationship coaching, all aimed at fostering deeper connections, resolving conflicts, and enhancing intimacy.
-
We work with children facing challenges at school and home, such as disruptive behavior, emotion regulation difficulties, depression, anxiety, and the effects of trauma. Our approach integrates talk therapy with play, the language of childhood, and involves parents as an essential part of the process.
-
Our group therapy sessions provide a supportive environment for individuals to share experiences and gain insights from others facing similar challenges. We offer groups focused on social skills, anxiety management, grief support, parenting, and more, helping participants build connections and learn from one another.
-
We offer parent coaching and therapy to help parents manage the challenges of raising children at all stages of development. Our services include guidance on effective discipline, enhancing parent-child relationships, managing behavioral issues, and supporting parents of children with special needs.
-
Our therapists are committed to gender-affirming care and support for LGBTQIA+ clients. We focus on working with people of color and support clients from a wide range of socioeconomic and religious backgrounds. All therapy and assessment services at IMPACT are trauma-informed.
-
We also welcome neurodiversity at IMPACT. We believe that neurological differences - like autism, ADHD, and learning differences - are not deficits to be corrected, but valuable aspects of human diversity to be embraced. Our services provide a safe and nurturing environment where everyone is celebrated for who they are.
How We Help
Our therapists have advanced training in evidence-based psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems, and couples approaches, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). All services are rooted in a social justice and trauma-informed perspective.
Our senior therapists train other clinicians, teach graduate students, and supervise advanced clinicians in integrative psychotherapy. They have published numerous articles and books and regularly speak at international conferences for mental health professionals.
