ENHANCE YOUR CLINICAL SKILLS THROUGH SUPERVISION

Professional Growth, Guidance, & Support

What is Clinical Supervision?

Clinical supervision involves a collaborative relationship between an experienced supervisor and a supervisee, typically a graduate student, early career professional, or licensed psychologist among other disciplines.

This professional guidance helps clinicians enhance their therapeutic skills, deepen their theoretical understanding, and navigate complex clinical cases. Supervision is essential for professional development, ensuring high-quality care for clients and fostering continuous improvement in clinical practice.

* Please note we do not provide supervision/consultation to unlicensed/pre-licensed professionals unless they are employed by us.

Who Can Benefit from Clinical Supervision?

Clinical supervision benefits a wide range of mental health professionals, including:

  • Early career psychologists

  • Licensed psychologists seeking specialized guidance

  • Clinicians aiming to enhance specific therapeutic skills

  • Mental health professionals interested in integrating diverse therapeutic approaches

  • Practitioners looking to grow their private practice

  • Many other mental health disciplines

IMPACT's Approach to Clinical Supervision

At IMPACT, we offer a diverse range of supervision methods tailored to meet the unique needs of each clinician. Our supervisors are experienced professionals who provide comprehensive, evidence-based guidance across several therapeutic approaches.

  • Our supervisors bring years of experience in teaching psychodynamic psychotherapy to various professionals. We cover case conceptualization, intervention techniques, countertransference management, and contemporary psychodynamic approaches. Supervisees are encouraged to bring process notes from sessions for in-depth discussion. We offer psychodynamic psychotherapy supervision for work with children, teens, and adults.

  • We believe in the power of integrating multiple therapeutic modalities to serve clients better. Our integrative supervision combines psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, family systems, existential/humanistic, and play therapy approaches. This method allows clinicians to blend theory and practice from diverse perspectives, developing a versatile approach to clinical work. We offer integrative psychotherapy supervision for work with children, teens, and adults.

  • We provide guidance for practitioners at all career stages on building and growing a private practice. Our supervisors cover topics such as niche market development, marketing strategies, web tools, office space management, insurance paneling, and more. Supervision is offered remotely by video in a series of four appointments.

  • Deliberate Practice (DP) is a highly effective method for improving performance through systematic goal-setting, skill-building, and expert feedback. Decades of research have shown that DP is associated with expert performance across various professions. We offer DP coaching for work with children and adults, focusing on multicultural orientation. Our team has extensive experience in this arena, with Dr. Prout having two books on this very topic.

  • This supervision area addresses the needs of clients for whom faith is central to their lives. Dr. Tracy Prout provides guidance informed by her training in spiritually integrative psychotherapy and extensive research in the psychology of religion. She respects diverse religious experiences and has worked with clients from various faith backgrounds. Dr. Prout focuses on attachment styles, the role of faith communities in mental health, and spiritual crises as catalysts for change.
