SUPPORT GROUPS FOR ADULTS
Psychotherapy Group for Adults Recovering from Anorexia
Psychotherapy Group for Adults Recovering from Anorexia
For individuals in recovery from anorexia nervosa (AN), it is common to experience ambivalence about recovery itself.
Often, there is meaning and emotion behind this “recovery ambivalence.” The primary goal of this 10-week psychotherapy group is to utilize interpersonal connection to gain self-awareness about the meaning and emotions surrounding ambivalence in AN recovery. Participants will be invited to take a curious, compassionate, and non-judgemental look into their worries about and hopes for recovery, while supporting fellow group members in their healing journey. This group is designed to complement individual therapy and nutrition counseling.
